Gamberi pizza is the Italian term for “prawns” and the name of one of our most widespread pizzas! We love this one for the bright red and white colors, King prawns, and house made mint and chili pepper pesto.
INGREDIANTS:
- Pizza Base (makes 250 grams pizza base):
- 150-gram baker’s flour
- One tsp table salt
- One fourth tsp instant yeast
- 91ml water
- 11ml olive oil
Neapolitan Sauce:
- 251ml tin tomatoes
- Pinch dehydrated oregano
- Tweak white pepper
- Pinch salt
- Few leaves of fresh basil
- One tbs extra virgin olive oil
PREPARATION
PROCEDURE: -
Pizza base:
- Keep flour into a big bowl, make a well.
- Transfer in water, olive oil, salt and yeast.
- Mix together, then place on floured bench and knead for 5-6 minutes.
- Keep the dough into a clean bowl and cover with a damp cloth.
- Keep the bowl in a warm area till the dough doubles in size.
- Turn the dough out onto your covered bench and knock out the air.
- Your dough ball is now ready to be rolled out into a pizza base.
- 251-gram dough ball should be rolled out to approx. 32cm pizza base.
Pizza sauce:
- Mixture tomatoes and push through a sieve.
- Add other components, mix and taste.
- Now - Your base is trundled and lying on a tray or pizza stone.
- Spoon on Neapolitan sauce, just to cover...
6 prawns:
- Censored in half length ways.
- Pinch chili flakes.
- Sprinkle of garlic oil.
- 100-gram torn mozzarella.
- Bake in hot oven 250 degrees Celsius for about 6-9 minutes.
- Cut and enhancer with fresh rocket and drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
